Mission & Vision Statement

Our mission is to cultivate a space where individuals can reconnect with their creativity, rediscover themselves, and find healing from mental health challenges, life stressors, and traumatic experiences. We are dedicated to being a place of rest, renewal, and inspiration through accessible therapy services, expressive arts workshops, and inclusive community events.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to reaching as many people as possible with quality, affordable mental healthcare. We firmly commit to accepting insurance—including Medicaid and Medicare—and will never stop doing so due to administrative challenges or low reimbursement rates. While many providers are moving away from insurance-based care, we believe this creates unacceptable barriers for the very people who need support the most. Equity and accessibility are at the heart of our mission.
We are also actively applying for grants to expand our sliding scale offerings and increase access to free expressive arts programming.
Our deepest commitment is to serve underserved and marginalized communities, including those on fixed incomes, in rural areas, survivors of trauma and abuse, and anyone facing barriers to care. Everyone deserves a path to healing—and we’re here to help clear the way.
Why Expressive Arts?
Creativity is such a fundamental part of our humanity. As we grow older, we begin building priorities things based on cultural values, family values, and many other things apart from our innate sense of self. Some of us have been through extreme traumatic events, have difficult families, have experienced tremendous loss, or have been living with debilitating mental illness that has exacerbated this divide. We begin to leave behind important pieces of ourselves such as play, creativity, intuition, passion, rest, and ultimately the freedom to be ourselves. The expressive arts allow us to reconnect with these parts of ourselves. This reconnection helps to create rest, healing, and restores many of the child-like parts of ourselves that have been long locked away.
